Found on my bathroom shower curtain
I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains in California
About 2 inches in diameter
I find one of these in my bathroom about once a month

There are no brown recluse in California. What you have there is a false wolf spider.
They are quite harmless, often found indoors year round.

looks more like a Titiotus to me, hard to tell without a good look at the legs or eye pattern
